  2. Make Cream Base: In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Combine & Chill: Add the macerated strawberries (including their juice) to the cream mixture. Stir well. Critical Step: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to ensure it's thoroughly chilled. This helps the ice cream churn properly.
